Woman’s ‘girl crush’ on Adele caused heart attack

The woman who collapsed at an Adele concert back in March in Sydney has spoken out about the ordeal.

Meghan Nicholson revealed to Woman’s Day that it was the pure sight of Adele that sent her into cardiac arrest.

The 47-year-old’s husband had gifted her some VIP tickets to the singer’s concert but attending the concert nearly killed her.

“I was dead. My family almost lost me,” she said.

She revealed to the magazine that she was trying to throw a bracelet onto the stage as a present for Adele but moments after that she blacked out.

“Once I got to the stage and saw her [Adele] coming towards me I felt an adrenaline rush, and then I felt clammy and nauseous,” Meghan admitted to the publication.

She was apparently completely “healthy” and had no history of heart issues.

Ultimately it was her “girl crush” on the superstar that caused her heart attack.

Meghan said: “The only explanation the doctors could come up with is the adrenaline rush sent me into cardiac arrest.”

Luckily, she has made a full recovery even though doctors said it was possible Meghan could have suffered brain damage or have difficulty walking.

The night after Meghan collapsed Adele dedicated a song to her to wish her a “speedy recovery”.

Well, Meghan is now fit as a fiddle and has a hell of a story out of the whole situation!
