Wendy Williams faints during live broadcast
Well-known US TV personality Wendy Williams gave viewers a fright during her Halloween special after she collapsed during a live broadcast.
Dressed as Lady Liberty, the 53-year-old can be seen losing her balance before she stops speaking mid-sentence and collapses to the ground. Watch Wendy's fall in the clip above.
Her show quickly cut to a commercial break as production crew rushed to help the star, before Wendy returned after an extended break and explained that she wasn't trick or treating when she fainted.
"That was not a stunt. I’m overheated in my costume and did pass out. But you know what? I’m a champ and I’m back," she told the audience.
Wendy didn't seem too shaken by the incident, even joking at the end of her show about the amount of time she was passed out for saying, "Is that the end of the show? Was I passed out that long?!"
She later took to Instagram to explain the situation and thanked fans for their concern.
"Everybody relax. I'm doing fine, just need some water and electrolytes. On another I slayed and laid Halloween, LOL! Shout out to my magnificent Glam Squad and Cesar Galindo the costume designer. More on this tomorrow," she said in the post.
