Playboy film halted over Ratner misconduct claims
After director Brett Ratner had a series of sexual misconduct claims leveled against him, the Hugh Hefner biopic he was due to work on has been "on hold" in the wake of the allegations.
The flick, which was rumoured to star Jared Leto as late Playboy founder Hugh Hefner and Margot Robbie as one of his wives, may now never see the light of day after six accesses came forward in a new exposé that exposed Ratner's behaviour.
"We are deeply troubled to learn about the accusations against Brett Ratner," a spokesperson from Playboy told RadarOnline. "We find this kind of behavior completely unacceptable."
Playboy added they are putting all their projects with the Rush Hour director on hold while they "review the situation".
"We are putting all further development of our projects with RatPac Entertainment on hold until we are able to review the situation further," they added.
The decision to halt production on the biopic comes as six actresses accused Ratner of sexual assault in The Los Angeles Times exposé, including Olivia Munn and Natasha Henstridge.
Deception actress Natasha Henstridge, 43, claims the director “forced himself” on her when she was just 19.
Olivia Munn has also come forward with her own account of sexual misconduct from Ratner.
“I’ve made specific, conscientious choice not to work with Brett Ratner,” the 37-year-old told the outlet.
