Seven-year-old actress cries receiving Critics' Choice Award

Seven-year-old actress Brooklynn Prince couldn't hold back her tears while she accepted the Critics' Choice Award for Best Young Actor/Actress.

In what could be the cutest moment in Hollywood of 2018 so far, Brooklynn took to the stage clearly overwhelmed she had won.

The young actress won the award for her role in The Florida Project.

She definitely stole the hearts of the audience as she welled up during her acceptance speech.

"Wow. This is such a big honour," Brooklynn said tearfully on stage. "But I would like... all the nominees are great - we should go and get ice cream afterward."

"God. I would like to thank you for this wonderful opportunity," she continued crying tears of joy. "And I would like to thank Sean (Baker, the director) for giving me this wonderful opportunity to be his Moonee.”

The young star plays Moonee in the hit film and explores her life of living in a motel in Kissimmee, Florida and causes day-to-day mischief with fellow residents Scooty and Dicky.

Earlier in the evening, Brooklynn posed on the blue carpet in a gorgeous red dress.

She also looked cute for the cameras with fellow actor Jacob Tremblay, 11, who was nominated for the same award for his role in Wonder.

We're pretty sure Brooklynn will have stolen everyone's hearts with her speech.
