Woman spots Facebook ad wearing exact same outfit as her

Every wondered how much Facebook truly knows about you? Well this woman had a very strange experience with an ad that popped up on her feed.

While scrolling through her feed Jen Lewis spotted a bra ad from Third Love. The completely mind-boggling thing was that the model in the ad was wearing the exact same outfit as Jen was wearing that exact moment.

Jen, from Brooklyn was wearing the same pale blue skinny jeans and pink blouse as the photo and posted the photos side by side on Twitter.

“Uh, Facebook just served me a bra ad where a woman is wearing the outfit that I'm currently wearing,” she captioned the post which has since gone viral with more than 22,000 likes.

The post sparked some hilarious conspiracy theories about how much Facebook is actually stalking you to give you ads that directly target your online activity.

Many were quick to offer advice saying she should immediately cover up her camera.

However, many were also quick to point out that there is no way that was possible, and it was just a funny coincidence.

At this stage, Jen agrees that the double-up was a coincidence. She even proved just how effective the advertisement was sharing that she’s now gone out and bought the bra that was advertised.

It’s no surprise people did freak out though as Facebook is using increasingly sophisticated tech to ‘target’ their ads. Just last month they were forced to defend that they were using devices microphones to listen to users.
