Princess Charlotte takes after the Queen in this special way
With her adorably chubby cheeks and photogenic looks, Princess Charlotte has already drawn more than one comparison to her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.
Now, with the release of photos of the two-year-old’s first day at school, the young royal has revealed the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree when it comes to their interests either.
In the photo, proudly snapped by Charlotte’s mum Kate Middleton, the toddler can be seen standing on the steps at Kensington Palace in a red $205 Amaia coat and pink, knitted scarf.
It’s what is on Princess Charlotte’s pink Cath Kidston backpack though, that her great granny would especially approve of.
Sporting an adorable horse motif, the tot’s equestrian obsession is something the Queen would be all too familiar with.
Known for her love of horses, the Queen wasn’t much older than Charlotte when she had her first riding lesson at the age of three, before her grandfather King George V gave her a Shetland mare when she turned four.
Charlotte’s mum, the Duchess of Cambridge, has already spoken about her daughter’s passion for horses.
Last October, British equestrian gold medalist Natasha Baker revealed Kate had opened up about Charlotte’s passion.
“She emphasised that Charlotte has this passion about horses, and although she doesn't echo it, she'll do her best to champion and encourage it,” said Natasha.
