Meghan and Prince Harry tipped to choose this star as wedding singer

They’ve got stars such as Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith clamouring to play wedding singer when they tie the knot, but speculation around Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's big day entertainment is now focusing on one huge star.

While the couple are remaining tight-lipped about the details of their May nuptials, there’s growing buzz that one angelic-voiced British singer could be set to entertain the couple and their guests.

It’s none other than fan favourite Adele, with a UK report throwing the 29-year-old’s hat into the ring of prospective royal wedding warblers.

“She mirrors that perfect mix of internationally famous and down-to-earth the royals are getting with Meghan,” the Guardian reports.

“Plus, her back catalogue won’t scare the Queen and, because she’s mates with Beyoncé, she’s used to mixing with royalty.”

It’s not the first time Adele’s been tipped to perform at a royal wedding.

With Prince William and Kate Middleton tying the knot in the wedding of the year in 2011, the star reportedly turned down a chance to sing – claiming she had a very important event planned.

“I couldn’t play because my barbecue has been booked for some time,” the Sun reported the singer saying at the time.

Luckily Ellie Goulding was happy to step in and perform for Kate and Wills, with the singer later opening up about just how nerve wracking it was to be the first performer at the couple’s wedding reception.

“I mean, talking about scary,” she told Vanity Fair afterwards.

“I was so nervous that my hands were shaking. That was one of my memories, I remember looking down and just seeing [them shake].

“Chris, my pianist, I looked over at him and he looks at me like ‘literally, you have just s***ted yourself. I know it in your face that you’ve just literally pooed yourself.’”
