First T2: Trainspotting trailer, cast reunited 20 years later

Director Danny Boyle has reunited the cast of the cult flick for a sequel, T2: Trainspotting.

In the first teaser for the new film, all the pals from the original film are back – Renton (Ewan McGregor), Spud (Ewen Bremner), Sick Boy (Johnny Lee Miller) and Begbie (Robert Carlyle).

Albeit brief, the first footage doesn’t disappoint, showing an echo of a scene from the original of the boys standing on a platform as the train goes past and Iggy Pop’s ‘Lust For Life’ plays in the background.

The film sees Danny Boyle return as director to adapt Irvene Welsh’s Trainspotting sequel, Porno, set 10 years since the drug-riddled events of the first novel.

Yep, even though it’s the briefest of teasers, we’re pretty excited for what’s to come when T2: Trainspotting hits Australian cinemas on February 9, 2017.
