Harry and Meghan's elopement plans

Prince Harry's relationship with Meghan Markle has placed both of them into the glare of public scrutiny – not only is she a commoner and a divorcé, but she's a bigtime TV star to boot.

Which is why, insiders say, the pair wants to slip away unnoticed to get married in secret, far from the world's prying eyes.

"It's her life and his," a representative for 32-year-old Harry explains, of their decision to keep their relationship under wraps as far as possible.

OK! reports the couple's friends believe an elopement is on the cards, with speculation triggered by their recent low-key holiday to Norway.

"They definitely want to go on more adventure trips," a friend told the magazine. "They're so in love."

Just this week, Meghan's half-brother Thomas, 50, let slip that he's angling for an invitation to the pair's nuptials, saying "I still want to go to the wedding, if they'll let me... I want to go to London and Buckingham Palace."

Looks like Thomas could be in for disappointment!
