New book claims Kris Jenner told Caitlyn Jenner to 'pray the change' away

Kardashian Dynasty: The Controversial Rise of America’s Royal Family says sources close to the family have confirmed the 60-year-old not only knew about her husband's struggles with gender identity, but encouraged him to turn to religion to 'pray away' the problem.

"She told him he should pray," an athletics coach, who claims to have known Bruce Jenner for years, told the authors of the book.

"[She told him] that church could help him heal."

The book also claims that Caitlyn Jenner (then Bruce) used her gender transition to "deliberately distract" from the manslaughter charge brought about by her 2015 car accident.

The book’s author, Ian Halperin, spoke to a "longtime friend" of the star, who claimed Jenner "misdirected the serious offence by promoting his transition".

“After the accident, he went full steam ahead. I truly believe he was trying to misdirect the negative publicity he received after the car crash...it was clear he was worried about being charged," the friend told the author.
