Ariel Winter’s mum slams her daughter's body

Based on Ariel Winter's mum's latest harsh comments about her daughter - it doesn't look like their relationship will be repaired any time soon.

Crystal Workman, who has not spoken to the Modern Family star in more than three years, says she was not happy to hear about the 18-year-old’s plastic surgery and hated the fact her scars were visible at this year's SAG Awards.

“I don't think anyone at that age should be cutting into their breasts," she told Inside Edition in an exclusive interview. "I am surprised she did it so young and that the doctor did it for her so young."

“I'm sorry, I just think this is inappropriate,” Crystal commented on Ariel's SAG Awards frock choice. “She should never be embarrassed of her scars but she shouldn't be flaunting them.”

Last June Ariel revealed she had undergone surgery to reduce her chest size from a 32F to a 34D, and has since spoken about how much better she feels about her body and that people shouldn't be afraid to show their scars.

But it wasn't just Ariel's mum who disapproved of her showing her operation scars at February's SAG Awards - the actress was trolled as soon as people saw her red carpet pictures.

“There’s absolutely nothing wrong with them. And I think that that’s really messed up that a lot of people are saying that we can’t be beautiful with scars,” Ariel said at the time.

Ariel won emancipation from her mom just months before she turned 18.

“I am not a yes person. I am Ariel’s mother. I love her," Crystal told Inside Edition. "And Ariel did not approve of my parenting. I have stood by my innocence. I have never, never abused Ariel."
