Richard Simmons hospitalised after strange behaviour

Richard Simmons was taken to an L.A. hospital on Friday after an evening of strange behaviour at his house.

TMZ reports Richard was acting in an "unusually strange manner" just before midnight and someone at his Hollywood home was so worried they called 911.

Paramedics came to the property and Richard was taken to Cedars Sinai for further evaluation.

Some of Richard's friends and family have expressed worry for his well being after he became a recluse three years ago - shunning those closest to him.

Richard denies these claims and says he simply wants a break from the limelight.
