Sophie Monk 'cuddles' up to mystery new love

It looks like perennial singleton Sophie Monk has finally found love... well, kind of.

The pretty blonde has posted a video to her Instagram in which she introduces the world to her new boyfriend, Derek.

Only there's one problem: Derek isn't real, he's a manikin.

In the hilarious skit Sophie cuddles up to her new beau and says: "Hey darling, can you make sure I hear my alarm about 4:30am tomorrow, just in case, because i have to get up. Alright, love you."

She then gives him a kiss on the cheek.

Beside the video Sophie wrote: "My new boyfriend Derek is AMAZING! #thefling 6-9am KIIS1065 KIIS1011 with Matty Acton."

The one-time girl group singer is referring to her new fill-in breakfast show, The Fling, which will air across the entire ARN network.

It's not the star's first dalliance with morning radio.

In 2014 she teamed up with Jules Lund, Merrick Watts and Mel B to host breakfast on rival network 2DayFM following the departure of Kyle and Jackie O.

That venture turned into somewhat of a fizzer, with Sophie leaving the team just a few months last to pursue "other interests".
