American Pie's Chris Klein is now a dad, shares adorable first pic of son

Chris Klein has become a father for the first time.

The American Pie star and his wife Laina Rose Thyfault welcomed their son Frederick Easton Klein into the world on Saturday (23.07.16).

The 37-year-old actor thanked his significant other for giving him a "miracle".

He wrote on his WhoSay account: "So incredibly blessed and forever grateful for my amazing wife and our healthy baby boy. Laina delivered me a miracle."

Laina revealed their little one is "doing great" during his first few days in the world and has already mastered the art of posing for pictures.

She wrote on Instagram: "So excited to announce our precious baby boy, Frederick Easton Klein was born 7/23/16. This little Champ has already mastered his warrior pose and is doing great. Our hearts are bursting with love and joy"

The couple - who married in August 2015 - announced on social media in March that Laina was expecting.

Attached to a picture of her baby bump, Chris wrote: "My beautiful wife Laina and I are expecting our first child. 23 weeks along. Gratefully blessed on my 37th B-Day. (sic)"

Chris - who played Chris 'Oz' Ostreicher in American Pie - and Laina were dating for four years before they tied the knot last year after he popped the question in December 2014.
