Milla Jovovich is ripped in Resident Evil: The Final Chapter's first teaser

The trailer for the sixth and seemingly final installation of the Resident Evil film series has landed...and Milla looks just as good as she did in the 2002 original film.

Is she seriously ageing backwards?

“Welcome home,” the 40-year-old says in the clip, as she returns to where 2012‘s Resident Evil: Retribution left off.

This time Project Alice (Milla Jovovich) is forced to race against time as the villainous Red Queen attempts to destroy the final remnants of humanity. No biggie.

As the only survivor of what was meant to be humanity’s final stand against the undead, Alice must return to where the nightmare began – The Hive in Raccoon City, where the Umbrella Corporation is gathering its forces for a final strike against the only remaining survivors of the apocalypse.

Ali Larter will reprise her role as Claire Redfield, while Shawn Roberts and Iain Glen will also make their return to the franchise.

Resident Evil fans will also get a new entry in the video game series this January, as Resident Evil 7 is slated to hit PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One. Oh. hell yes.

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter hits Australian cinemas on January 26, 2017.
