Keira Knightley admits she wears wigs because her hair fell out!

Keira Knightley is literally living our worst nightmare IRL...

The actress admitted she has been wearing wigs for the last five years because her real hair fell out!

"I have dyed my hair virtually every colour imaginable, for different films," she tells InStyle magazine.

"It got so bad that my hair literally began to fall out of my head.

"So for the past five years I’ve used wigs, which is the greatest thing that’s ever happened to my hair."

Yikes...

Well, we guess there's the time she dyed her kinda orangey in The Duchess in 2008.

Then she fluctuated between dark brown and blonde for the Pirates of the Caribbean franchises.

As a blonde in Pirates.
As a blonde in Pirates.

And went dark blonde for The Imitation Game in 2014.

So yeah, it's fair to say her hair has had quite the beating! And that she has an incredible wigmaker.

Her next role is playing the Sugar Plum fairy in the live-action version of The Nutcracker - no doubt she's learnt her lesson and will be donning a wig for that part.
