Did Richie propose? Fans go crazy thinking Nikki is engaged

She's the frontrunner to steal Richie Strahan's heart on The Bachelor and now fans have gone crazy with speculation that Nikki Grogan is engaged after a photo emerged of her wearing a rather large diamond ring.

And yes, it was on THAT finger.

A photo shared from the Fashion At The Races Instagram page showed the 28-year-old in a pink and white dress and holding onto a pink clutch with the ring in question visible on her wedding ring finger.

Naturally this caused Bachelor fans to speculate that Nikki and Richie are engaged... Except, they're not.

The photo is from 2014, so that means the ring is actually from former fiance Tim Verlinden, who Nikki was with for 12 years for ending their engagement last year.

There are several other photos from around the same time that show Nikki with the ring on. Sorry Bachelor fans, you haven't gotten your happy ending just yet!

The speculation comes after Richie revealed he and the winner of the series have had plenty of time together, despite having to keep their relationship secret for two months.

"There've been secret hideaways, secret cars and secret rendezvous so it has been another unique and exciting component that I've experienced," Richie told The Daily Telegraph.

"To have it finally come out in less than a week's time is great so I can start moving on with my life and start enjoying getting back to reality and the normality of it."

Next Thursday we will finally know who the rope access technician chooses with Olena, Alex and Nikki in the final three.
