Dealing with the world’s most public divorce has been tough for Brad Pitt, but his mates say things are looking up for the actor.
A friend of the 53-year-old tells People magazine that Brad’s been “in better spirits” of late, and has spent time focusing on himself and his health.
He’s been linked to Kate Hudson since his split from Ange in October, but according to the source, dating isn’t a huge priority at the moment.
In fact, Brad’s been keeping it low key at home and inviting pals around. “He often has friends over,” the insider told the publication. “Old friends are back in his life, and he seems happy about it.”
The star had jaws dropping with his svelte appearance at January’s Golden Globes, and it seems he wants to keep that momentum going by working out “almost daily”.
“He’s lost a few pounds,” another friend told People. “He’s in very good shape.”
And despite first looking like it was going to be one of Hollywood's nastiest divorces, the exes are back on speaking terms.
Brad and Ange are said to be enjoying a more "peaceful relationship" six months on from their split, with the actor "much happier" now that their divorce proceedings are playing out behind closed doors instead of the public eye.
"He's very relieved things are not playing out in public anymore," another source told People in an earlier interview.
"It was a rough time, but they were able to resolve it. This is a work in progress."
