They were once the cutest couple on telly, but Lamar Odom has revealed the truth behind his marriage to Khloe Kardashian.
The former basketball player has broken his silence in a tell-all interview with Us Weekly, confessing to his years of drug use and affairs.
“I was hiding [the drugs] for a while, but then I got frustrated and was like, f--k it. Around two years before we split up…she caught me,” Lamar told the publication.
“She knew I was doing cocaine the whole time after that. I’m not going to say she accepted it because that would be the wrong word. Tolerated would be a better word.”
Lamar told Us Weekly that while he doesn’t regret letting their relationship play out on TV, he does believe it contributed to his eventual infidelity.
“It opened this gate up with other women who probably wouldn’t have been interested in me…it made me look more enticing,” he said.
“B--ches came out of the woodwork. If there is one thing I regret when I was married, it was having multiple affairs with different women. I wish I could have kept my d--k in my pants.”
Moving on to his October 2015 collapse – which saw him suffer 15 strokes and two heart attacks while on a bender at a Nevada brothel – he says he was just “bored”.
“I wanted to get out and have a good time. I remember lying in bed. Two women were in bed and then I fell asleep. That’s all. When I woke up four days later, I was trying to pull the tubes out of my mouth.”
Lamar woke up to see his estranged wife by his side. Though 32-year-old Khloe halted divorce proceedings while he recovered, the pair didn’t reconcile.
“I was just blessed to be around her,” Lamar told the publication. “We haven’t been intimate in years.”
In December last year, Lamar checked into rehab to face his addiction issues.
"It was his own decision. He wanted to work on his mental and physical health for the next chapter of his life,” E! News reported at the time.
The insider also claims the retired Lakers player “has not fallen off the wagon,” but “understands the importance of maintaining his sobriety."
His decision came after the courts stamped official documents, ruling that he and Khloe's divorce was finalised on December 17.
