Last month, Ed Sheeran revealed he’d been blessed with the ultimate gift: a guest role in Game of Thrones.
We’re not jealous or anything! Sniff.
Now Ed is paying it forward by dishing out some juicy details about his upcoming cameo in the show’s seventh season.
“I do know which role I am going to play… I’m only in it for like five minutes,” Comic Book quotes the singer as saying. “I don’t die in it, I don’t die!”
“I’d probably prefer to have sex than die in the show,” the 26-year-old pointed out.
“I’m sure a lot of people are into [dying], but I’m not.”
Perhaps the Season 7 slogan is “All men must die (except Ed Sheeran)”?
The publication reports that Ed shot his Game of Thrones scenes with the show’s star Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark, because she’s a “huge fan” of his.
The singer goes on to say that he scored the part thanks to another musical mate, Snow Patrol’s Gary Lightbody.
"My friend guested in it in 2012 and I remember I was on tour with him and he was like: ‘Right, I’ve got a guest slot on Game Of Thrones,’” Ed told the outlet.
“I remember saying: ‘You got to get me on it at some point.’”
“It’s been five years so it’s finally come true.”
