Khloe Kardashian being sued by paps for $200,000

Khloe Kardashian has landed herself in hot water with an image agency Xposure Photos UK after posting a snap to her personal Instagram of herself and sister Kourtney, however did not have permission to post the snap.

The 32-year-old shared an image of herself and her sister Kourtney which was taken in Miami on September 13, 2016.

The photo agency claims that the reality star "copied" a snapshot they took of her and her sister exiting a restaurant after enjoying a meal together at David Grutman’s Miami restaurant.

The image was also altered to remove the copyright management information (CMI) showing that it was in fact owned by Xposure Photos UK.

The image agency is now after $200,000 AUD in compensation as they claim that's how much the company would have profited off the paparazzi set, had Khloe not shared it to the public first.

According to court documents obtained by People magazine the agency claim that Kardashian did not “seek permission to use the photographs."

They continued in the statement, "Kardashian uses her Instagram feed for the purposes of promotion — specifically, to promote her own business interests, products, and ventures; to promote and sell the products and services of others.”

The United Kingdom agency claimed that Khloe K shared the pic a day after the paparazzi took the shots.

"Kardashian’s Instagram post made the photograph immediately available to her nearly 67 million followers and others, consumers of entertainment news — and especially news and images of Kardashian herself, as evidenced by their status as followers of Kardashian — who would otherwise be interested in viewing licensed versions of the photograph in the magazines and newspapers that are plaintiff’s customers,” the statement concluded.

Khloe's representatives have yet to make a statement, but the photo has since been taken down.
