Chris Hemsworth's personal mission against Hollywood's sexism
Chris Hemsworth has opened up about how the abuse scandal in Hollywood has affected him personally.
Talking exclusively to Be at the Sydney premiere ofThor: Ragnarok, the dad-of-three revealed he's on a personal mission to prevent women from enduring sexist behaviour.
"I think it's good that there's a spotlight been put on the issue," he said. "This kind of behaviour unfortunately happens everywhere and the more we expose it, the more we make it socially unacceptable, that's when the change starts to occur."
The married 34-year-old's goal is particularly poignant, being a father to daughter India, five, telling Be that empowering his daughter was, "The most important thing for me as a dad."
Chris's comments come after Hollywood has been rocked with huge allegations of sexual abuse by the once well-respected movie mogul, Harvey Weinstein.
"It's an awful situation," Chris said. "My heart goes out to anyone who has suffered from that sort of abuse."
