Pink's six-year-old daughter is her date to CMA Awards
Pink can do it all — if she can sing in perfect pitch while doing aerial work during the Grammys that seems like a pretty natural conclusion to draw — and now that includes conquering country music.
On Wednesday night, the singer performed at the CMA Awards and was one of the most anticipated performances of the night.
But before taking the stage, she walked the red carpet wearing a white tulle gown with multiple layers and looked like a queen, alongside her daughter, Willow.
To take away from the wedding vibes of the piece, Pink added a black belt. Her hair, dyed a light shade of her namesake color, was pulled up into a swoop with a curl hanging down the side.
The singer's daughter was fittingly dressed like a princess in a navy blue dress with a tulle high-low skirt. She even wore a tiara.
Experiencing the moment with her daughter made her “happy,” Pink shared in a tweet.
This isn’t the first time the pair have attended an awards show together. In August, the “What About Us” artist was bestowed with the Video Vanguard Award at the MTV Video Music Awards, where she used her stage time to deliver a message to her 6-year-old daughter.
“Recently, I was driving my daughter to school and she said to me, out of the blue, ‘Mama, I’m the ugliest girl I know,'” Pink began. “She was like, ‘Yeah, I look like a boy with long hair.’ And my brain went to, ‘Oh my God, you’re 6. Where is this coming from? Who said this? Can I kick a 6-year-old’s ass?'”
She concluded, “So, baby girl, we don’t change. We take gravel in a shell and we make a pearl, and we help other people to change. … You, my darling girl, are beautiful and I love you.”
