It didn't take the little elephant long to get to Darrick, who grabbed onto her trunk as she pulled him to shore.

According to Metro, Kham Lha was rescued from the tourism industry in 2015 and brought to the Elephant Nature Park.

When she was just four-years-old, she underwent grueling training at the hands of her captors.

But now, along with 18 other elephants who were rescued, she lives a happy life, alongside her best human friend Darrick.
