Meghan Markle's best friend claims she'll shake up the royal family
She used to lavish in the bright lights of Hollywood and hit up rec carpets all over LA but Meghan Markle's best friends claims she’s finally found her rightful place within the royal family.
Film star Priyanka Chopra, who is this month’s Harper’z Bazaar cpver girl, claims the 36-year-old actress will shake up things with the British royals and applauded her for her own achievements.
“It’s natural for people to be like, ‘Oh that’s Prince Harry’s girlfriend, but she’s a lot more as well,” she told the magazine.
“I don’t think anybody else would be able to do it the way she will. She’s just right for it.”
Priyanka also gushed over her “normal and sweet” friend, who she goes on to cal an “icon”.
“So, I do think Meghan being a part of the royal family is a big step in the direction of so many things; of women, of feminism, of diversity, of race, of the monarchy versus everyone else,” she said.
The 34-year-old actress, who has been close with Markle for the past two years, appeared on the Wendy Williams show last May, where she also boasted about her famous friend’s impressive CV.
Chopra was asked about Markle and Prince Harry’s relationship on the show, with Wendy describing it a kind of a “big deal”.
However Chopra didn’t seem impressed with her friend just being known as the flame-haired Prince’s other half and interrupted Wendy before he could go any further.
“Also Meghan Markle... you know, an actress in Suits, her own achievements...” she said.
Wendy then probed the actress even further, asking her if she would be a bridesmaid if Markle were to tie to knot.
“I don't know if I'm that close to her,” Chopra awkwardly said
“I have known her two years now. We randomly met at a party and got on really well.
“So once I get the invite, I don't know... If I'm even invited.”
