Hilarious Kmart furniture fail

It's no secret that Kmart, with its stylish fashion and homewares offerings at rock-bottom prices, has become a firm favourite in the hearts of shoppers across Australia in recent years.

And the 250,000 women in the Facebook group Kmart Mum Australia are especially passionate in their love for the budget retailer.

But one mum noticed a hilarious listing on the store's website this week – a beach chair that you're not allowed to sit on.

"Warning: Do not stand or sit on the chair." the site reads. "Follow usage instructions carefully."

Sabrina Lea Betts drew the group's attention to what otherwise seems like a nice-looking and extremely affordable beach chair.

But even though it only costs $12, you'd still expect it to do its job.

According to the product description though, it's purely decorative.

And the mums thought it was hysterical.

"But you CAN sit WITH it underneath an umbrella!" wrote Margaret Sidebottom. "It's your NEW BEST FRIEND CHAIR !!!"

"By the powers of grey skull I shall hover over it," wrote Abigail Woodhouse.

"A beach squat chair. Lol. Love it," wrote Carolyn Smith.

Meanwhile, Brylie Singh brought up another funny instruction fail she'd seen recently: "I bought a cork board one day and the warning label said that the pins were not food and not to be eaten!"

"It is a misprint and being rectified," a spokesperson for Kmart Australia told Be.
