So what is it about this new foundation that has the people going? Well for starters, there are 21 shades to choose from and more importantly the Serum Foundation is only $12.70 and the Coverage Foundation is $12.90.

The Ordinary, which only launched in August 2016, has set the beauty world on fire with their reasonably priced products, already making them a cult buy.

Nothing in the range costs more than $20, even though they used advanced and highly sought after ingredients like Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin C and Alpha Arbutin.

And after their skincare brand was such a hit, the founders decided to launch a make-up line starting with foundation.

Taking to Instagram, The Ordinary announced that they will be debuting their serum and coverage foundation in 21 shades in the middle of April.

The shades were actually supposed to be dropping on April 1st but after testing them out on members of the public, the brand revealed that “everyone wanted pumps instead of droppers and caps.”

The serum foundations will offers a medium coverage and give a lightweight feel, whereas the coverage foundation contains higher pigment levels.

“Both formulations offer SPF 15 protection that's mineral-based and avoid the use of chemical sunscreens entirely,” the Instagram post said.
