What really happens at Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show castings

Wearing their wings is one of the most coveted gigs for aspiring models, and what finally happens at a Victoria's Secret Fashion Show has finally been revealed.

With their November show in Shanghai looming, a Youtube video posted by Victoria’s Secret shows the stressful process of whittling down hundreds of hopefuls to those lucky few.

Showing girls nervously waiting before walking one-by-one in black lingerie before casting agents, there’s tears and anxious tension before they take to the runway.

“You know, we've had models who've tried out for years and then finally just something changed, something clicked, or they just happen to have the right look for that year,” said modeling agent from Women Management, Jen Rubinetti.

For some of the models who've walked the VS runway before, they know it's no guarantee they'll get another look in.

But with models such as Miranda Kerr, Kendall Jenner, Gigi and Bella Hadid all former Victoria's Secret models, it's something they know can catapult them to stardom.

"I've worked very hard to be here and this is my biggest dream," says one teary model.
