Bear terrifies family by opening their car door

Like a scene out of a horror movie, a black bear has been filmed opening a car door and scaring a family in Yellowstone, Wyoming in the United States.

The family filmed their drive through the national park and spotted a black bear near the side of the road, so stopped the car to take pictures.

In their video clip posted to YouTube, the furry animal can then be seen walking up to the side of the parked vehicle.

“Dad, the bear’s right next to us,” one family member says.

The grizzly then peers at the man inside the car, before proceeding to open the unlocked car door!

Frantic screams can be heard from the family, before the dad drops his camera, slams the door shut and quickly drives away.

Thankfully, the family were unharmed in the incident.

Maybe the bear just wanted to hitch a ride?
