Simon Baker pays tribute to his wife at 2017 AACTA Awards

Simon Baker took home this year's Trailblazer AACTA Award but he insisted it was all down to his wife in his acceptance speech.

The actor paid tribute to his better half Rebecca Rigg as he took to the stage to accept his award.

"The truth is, you know, there are ups and downs and there are struggles," the 48-year-old said. "I was very fortunate to meet a fantastic woman and we created a great life together."

He continued to gush about his wife saying they had created "great success" together and that everything he had achieved was down to her.

"Because yes I am the front man babe but you are the rocking rhythm section and you know that," he said.

The award winner finished his speech telling his wife Bec, "I'm looking forward to for the next part of our lives together and our lives within this industry."

The couple married back in 1998 and have three children together: one daughter, Stella, 24, and two sons, Claude, 19, and Harry, 16.
