Flight attendant fired after boyfriend proposes mid-air
A flight attendant’s mid-flight proposal has been ruined after her employer reportedly fired her for it.
The unnamed woman — who works for China Eastern Airlines — was let go four months after her boyfriend got down on one knee during the middle of a flight, according to Singaporean news outlet Channel 8.
Apparently, the Chinese airline dismissed the newly engaged woman on grounds that she had neglected passenger safety on September 10, and people are furious.
Taking to Twitter, social media users slammed the airline as “ridiculous” for blasting the tender moment that occurred 30 minutes after takeoff in Xi’An and even threatened to boycott them.

A video of the proposal went viral back in May after a passenger shared it online.
In the clip the teary attendant revealed on the the inflight announcement system that the whole thing was a complete surprise.
“I really didn’t know my boyfriend will be proposing to me on this flight,” she said, according to Asia One. “Thanks for being my witnesses.”
