Aldi has done it again with another of their alcoholic beverage range coming out as one of the best there is.

It seems the German supermarket really does know the way to our hearts – especially on a Friday.

Aldi’s Oliver Cromwell London Dry Gin has just won a gold medal at the International Wine and Spirits Competition making it one of the best gin’s in the world.

The $15 bottle of gin beat out bottles that cost four times as much, meaning you don’t have to break the bank to get a buzz.

It comes after Aldi’s One Road South Australian Heathcote Shiraz from 2015 was named one of the best wines for 2017 at the Melbourne International Wine Competition recently. Cab Sav drinkers can enjoy Coles’ St Andrews Cabernet Sauvignon which was also named on of the best at the same competition and costs a very acceptable $6.

It also took home the award for the IWC Great Value Rosé under $15.

As if that wasn't enough, Aldi has also just won a double gold for their Highland Black 8 Year Old Blended Scotch Whisky at the 2017 Melbourne International Spirits Competition.

Sadly this particular gin is not available in Australia, only in the UK. Aldi does stock their own Darley’s Gin which was awarded a Silver medal at the same competition. But it costs $28.
