Taking to her Instagram on Thursday, the 26-year-old announced that she's got a brand new gig...in radio!

“So, I’ve been bursting at the seems and finally, I can announce some exciting news!! Introducing @jayfozandalex [sic],” she wrote alongside a snap of herself with her new colleagues.

“I’ll be driving you out every Friday night from 6-8pm on @southern_fm with these two absolute legends!” she continued.

The mother of six-year-old Elijah will be working alongside presenters Luke Forest and Jay Bruno on Victorian radio station Southern FM.

Alex told the Herald Sun, “I want to get a feel for it and I want to work hard at making it work," she continued. "I absolutely love it, and we work well as a team."

The new career direction seems to be following in Bachelorette star Sam Frost's footsteps, after she debuted on Sydney station 2Day FM last year, co-hosting the breakfast show with Rove Mc Manus.

However in January the pair were dumped from the primetime breakfast slot, with producers moving them into a later time slot after falling ratings.
