Alex Nation 'lost sight of who she was' on The Bachelor

Alex Nation has gotten candid about her experience on The Bachelor in 2016, and how it changed her as a person.

Two years ago Richie Strahan declared his love for Alex, but unfortunately their relationship fizzled out last year.

It also seems along the way Alex “lost sight” of who she was.

The 26-year-old took to her Instagram story to answer a series of questions on Thursday with one fan asking how her experience on the reality show affected her life.

“I don’t have any regrets and I loved my time on the show but coming off the back of it did change me in a lot of ways, both positive and negative,” she said. “It changed me negatively, I guess, because I think I lost sight of who I was there for a little while.”

Being extremely honest, Alex admitted she was too caught up being in the spotlight after her stint on the show.

“I was so focused on going to events [and] being in the media,” she continued. “It all changed overnight and so quickly and I felt pressure to be a certain way, act a certain way, do a certain thing.

“In the end, for a little while there, I just kind of forgot to be me.”

In July last year Alex – who is a mum to seven-year-old Elijah – parted ways from her Bachelor love Richie.

She began dating Maegan Luxa in August 2017, reportedly becoming engaged in January this year.

However, the couple have now reportedly split.
