Ninja Warrior contestant, 64, sends social media into meltdown with six-pack
A 64-year-old Australian Ninja Warrior contestant has sent social media into a frenzy with his impressive six-pack.
Ian Newland – the oldest person ever to compete on the show – showed off his age-defying physique on Sunday night’s show.
The buff grandpa insisted he didn’t “look at age being a big deal”.
“I don’t want to live forever but I’d like to live well as I get older,” he said in a piece to camera introducing himself.
He admitted watching the show last year inspired him to try it out this year.
Getting some loud cheers from the audience, the grandpa’s attempt at the course was impressive but unfortunately he wasn’t able to complete it all the way through.
Nonetheless, many on Twitter were impressed by Ian and his amazing six-pack.
Seriously, how inspiring was this 64-year old grandpa in Australian Ninja Warrior? And what about his body? Show that if you train you age a hell of a lot slower. @NinjaWarriorAU #ninjawarriorau #aging pic.twitter.com/xD6wKxQpa2
