Why Bachelor star Alex Nation was forced to return to full-time work
You’d think after winning The Bachelor and gaining tens of thousands of Instagram followers, you’d be set to go on your way.
However, Alex Nation has revealed it’s not all sunshine and rainbows on the other side of Instagram fame.
In a candid post, the mother-of-one has admitted she’s been forced to return to full-time work, as posting sponsored content on social media didn’t bring in enough income.
Alex admitted she has found it a “challenge” going back to full-time work, only getting home at 7pm “just in time for bunk bed snuggles”.
“The reality is for me, sponsored Instagram posts weren’t sustainable enough,” Alex said.
But she also revealed she “really wanted a full time job/career” and is loving it.
The former reality star went on to explain how she knows “her struggle isn’t unique” and asked her followers in similar situations for some advice.
Alex shot to fame in 2016 after she won Richie Strahan’s heart on The Bachelor.
However, their relationship didn’t last as the pair split the following year in 2017.
Soon after, Alex moved on with girlfriend Maegan Luxa.
The couple started dating in August last year after meeting in early 2017 on their women’s AFL team.
They announced their engagement in early 2018, but the pair have reportedly split.
