He's yet to make his Bachelorette debut but Stu Laundy is the rumoured favourite set to sweep Sophie Monk off her feet.
The multimillionaire is set to finally enter the show this week as an intruder but there's one key piece of information that may complicate things in the competition to win Sophie’s heart.
Stu is still technically married to his childhood sweetheart Rachel, who he separated from four years ago, and he was even prolonging divorce proceedings to hopefully reconcile with his wife, according to The Daily Telegraph.
He told the publication: “I prefer being married absolutely. (Divorce) wasn’t my decision.”
But he confirmed to the outlet that things between him and his soon-to-be ex-wife, whom he has four daughters with, are very much over which is “why the divorce has taken so long.”
The 44-year-old admitted to the outlet: “I really wanted it to work out.”
Bachelorette producers were aware of his situation when he entered the mansion.
Stu is the brother of Federal Liberal Minister Craig Laundy and their father Arthur Laundy is a well-known pub owner.
According to reports, Stu is set to inherit the $500 million family fortune.
