Bachelor's Nick Cummins booted Dasha because she's a single mum

It’s crunch time on The Bachelor as last night we saw Nick ‘Honey Badger’ Cummins send two ladies – Dasha Gaivoronski and Emily Diben – home ahead of family visits.

After Dasha put her heart on the line to Nick about her feelings and her son, Leon, it was surprising to see her go.

However in a candid chat with Be, the 32-year-old admitted Nick told her situation with her child was “too full on” for him.

“He’s not ready for [the responsibility of kids] at this stage of his life, which is totally fine,” Dasha said. “It wasn’t on his list of things he was looking for.”

Whilst she is understanding, Dasha confessed she was “confused” by his change of heart, as on their single date early on in the series Nick seemed to be totally fine with the fact that Dasha had a four-year-old son.

“I know it might be a dealbreaker for some people, but you usually let them know straight away rather than later on,” she explained. “I’m not too sure what happened, maybe he just gave it a second thought and decided it’s not something he needs in his life.”

Dasha also started to question Nick’s motives for being on The Bachelor, after some time had passed on the show.

“Somewhere about halfway through, I started suspecting that Nick might not be there just to settle down and find love with this person,” she revealed. “He sounded like a free spirit who wants to travel the world and do his own thing.

“I wasn’t too sure why he was doing [the show] because he’s obviously going to break a lot of hearts along the way.

“Why would you risk it if you’re not willing to settle down?”

So, does that mean the Honey Badger might’ve just been in it for the fame?

“Quite possibly,” Dasha admitted.

The Bachelor continues tonight on Channel 10 at 7.30pm.
