Karlie Kloss got a fringe for Fashion Week

Karlie Kloss has changed up her hair with a newly added fringe.

While Kloss might constantly be walking runways and snagging exciting brand campaigns, she’s not exactly known for any sort of dramatic hair switch-ups (unless you count those ultra-long extensions).

So it was super surprising to see that right smack in the midst of New York Fashion Week (NYFW), the cookie entrepreneur would opt to get a daring new haircut.

The NYU student debuted her fresh new fringe on Thursday night at the Daily Front Row’s Fashion Media Awards. Her hair was pulled back into a low bun with only a few face-framing strands left loose on the sides to pair with the semi-blunt-cut fringe (not as straight across as Grande’s, though).

Whether or not these bangs are the work of a few well-placed clip-ins (stars like Gigi Hadid have been known to use them occasionally — remember the 2016 MTV Movie Awards?), we can’t be sure. NYFW is well known as the time for supermodels to change up their look at a moment’s notice — whether real or not.

In February, Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner temporarily switched hair colors with each other for the Balmain show in Paris, so new bangs wouldn’t be the craziest thing we’ve seen before.

Although, don’t fret — we should know soon enough if Kloss’s fringe is the real deal. Considering she’ll most likely be walking in a few runway shows this season, it won’t take too long before a few backstage shots of her natural hair emerge and put the matter to rest.
