There's a right and wrong way to air-dry your hair

What’s not to love about air drying your hair? Not only does it mean not putting it through the trauma of heat styling, but it will also cut a tonne of time out of your morning routine, meaning more time snuggled between those comfy sheets. But, while you may have thought air-drying your hair was pretty self-explanatory, apparently there’s actually more to it than the title lets on.

Read on for just how you should be air-drying your particular type of hair.

Straight hair

For an effortless beachy look add a wave enhancing product like mousse to your hair once you’re out of the shower. If you want to add some waves, divide your hair into four sections and twist them away from your face. The more twists you do, the move waves you’ll have.

'Waves

If you’re born with waves, then you’re probably born with frizz too! To define your hair, create two loose braids starting from the top of your ears down. Just before they’re completely dry, undo them.

If you’ve got loose curls, your best bet is to apply a straightening cream and pop it into four separate buns. If you sleep on it, you’ll wake up with gorgeous breezy hair.

If you’re a curly girly then the trick is to apply ‘alcohol free, water based mousse’ to wet hair to loosen it up, pull it into a high pony for volume and then take it out once hair is dry.
