Super Mario hair is the most mesmerising trend on Instagram right now

If you spent your days propped up on the couch with your Nintendo playing Super Mario, then you're going to squeal over this new hair trend.

We've seen everything from hair contouring to the 'bun drop' and hair stenciling take over Instagram, but this subtle ode to Super Mario really has to be seen to be believed.

Photographer and hairstylist Saeho Kim, who is based in Seoul Korea painted an intricate video game design on a brunette model, which almost looks like someone projected Mario himself onto her mane.

Saeho painstakingly painted the design onto the model's hair using hair dye and a free hand instead of airbrushing.

The end result is mesmerising with three Super Mario's looking like they're sprinting out of the model's hair.

The picture was posted to Saeho's Instagram page and while you may not notice the deign from afar, it would send any gameboy fans berserk if they looked at it up close.

Now where's Mario's righthand man Luigi in all this?
