If you've ever had a fringe, you'll know the pain of watching it grow out and not wanting to fork out at the hairdressers to get it trimmed.

Beauty blogger Habiba has come up with an easy solution - although it does take a steady hand, and probably more than a little practice.

The LA based Instagram star's latest tutorial shows how to cut a perfectly feathered fringe with nothing more than your everyday plastic razor.

After pinning her hair and portioning off her fringe, Habiba shows how easy it is (when she does it anyway) to hold out your fringe and shave down the strands and take off some of the length.

"Shaved my bangs to create a feathery appearance and volume in the front," Habiba captioned the video.

With the video being viewed more than three million times at her makeupholic_moon Instagram account, it looks like Habiba's onto a winning hair hack.
