Australian beauty blogger Chloe Morello is praised internationally for making an Eid make up tutorial every year for her many Muslim fans.

And this year, she decided to make the look that little more authentic by putting a hijab on to complete it, and has been praised by her fans for doing so.

"I started doing them [Eid tutorials] a couple of years ago when my Muslim friend was like 'my wife would really like it if you would do a tutorial for Eid'," Morello said in the tutorial, which has been viewed over 300,000 times.

"Everyone was sort of asking for a glowy neutral look so I got some taupes and some greys and I came up with this. It’s a halo eye with the most amazing creamy skin... the skin came out so well."

After finishing off the “soft glam look with cool tones” – a smokey eye, illuminator and a matte lip – she put a white hijab on, saying: “Just so you can see what the look will look like with a hijab on… I don’t want to offend anyone when I do this, most people like it, I think.”

"It's purely so the hijabis know what it will look like with one on."

And a majority of her Muslim viewers certainly did like it. One commenter wrote, “Just wanted to let you know that i am a muslim hijabi (sic) and i REALLY appreciate this video! And love the fact that you showed it with a hijab on! Thank you.”

Another felt similarly, ‘I am a hijabi and I LOVE the video and you of course you.’

One person said that Morello’s acceptance of other cultures is what makes her such a good YouTuber: “I love you, you’re my favorite YouTuber. Everything you do is beautiful and I love how you shed light on all cultures and do not leave any of your viewers out.”

A few people didn’t agree though, and another user wrote, “Wearing a hijab for the purpose of the video is wrong.”

“For you it’s easy to wear it like a costume, for the purpose of a tutorial, while actual Muslim women wear it with the risk of being harassed or being attacked due to the fact islamophobia is still so high in society. Just something to think about for your next tutorial!"
