Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston's 'romantic escape' in Cannes

Since Jennifer Aniston announced her split from Justin Theroux, the rumour mill has gone into overdrive that the Friends actress has reunited with ex-husband Brad Pitt.

Now claims have emerged the pair recently enjoyed a “romantic escape” in Cannes to discuss future projects together, according to NW.

“Brad thought it would be a great idea for them to go over and quietly network with some studio bosses,” a source told the magazine. “A lot of producers are over there and that’s where deals happen so Cannes is the place to be when you’re trying to get new projects up and running.”

However, the publication claims Jen was “reluctant” at first as the last time she was in Cannes with Brad was in 2004, just before they announced their split the following year.

But Brad apparently “managed to convince Jen it would be good for them to get out of LA”, according to the alleged source.

The pair reportedly remained “under the radar” when they were in the south of France and steered clear of all the Cannes Film Festival parties, instead opting for “sightseeing at night”.

Brad is currently in the midst of finalising divorce proceedings from estranged wife Angelina Jolie.

They have six children together: Maddox, 16, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 11 and nine-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
