This bride spent $130k on 13 wedding dresses and five ceremonies

This bride has gone bigger than bolder than most after spending AU$130,000 (£70,000) on 13 dresses and five different wedding ceremonies.

Sandra Igwe, from the United Kingdom, literally married her groom five times, and asked many of their guests to follow them to their five different wedding destinations – including Nigeria where the first two ceremonies were held.

Sandra’s reasoning for having so many ceremonies and gowns was due to her indecisiveness about her “dream” wedding.

But while it may seem like a romantic idea, for many of the guests it actually meant forking out upwards of $4,500 (£2,500) to attend, with one of the groom’s friends even having to take out a loan to afford the trip.

Despite this, Sandra told Britain’s This Morning, she didn’t feel the slightest bit of guilt about her extravagant choices.

“I think that if you care about somebody and you love them, then why would you not be there for such a significant moment in their entire life,” she said.

“So no, I don’t feel guilty. I would do the same. I have done the same.”

It was all about making her dreams come true, and she added: “I thought, ‘I want it here, I want it there and there,’ and I thought, ‘Why can’t I have what I always dreamed of?'”

However, many viewers of the program were shocked by her comments and branded Sandra a “bridezilla” on social media.

No wonder the global wedding industry is now worth a whopping $400 billion.
