Bum rip jeans are outrageous new trend

Ripped jeans are nothing new, and let’s face it, in recent years, the rips have become more obvious and out there.

But one clothing line has taken the idea to a whole new level – and place – with their new range of ‘bum rip’ skinny jeans.

Clothing brand Pretty Little Thing had the Twitterverse in uproar after launching their new range of ‘Distressed Bum Rip High Waisted Skinny Jean’.

Only setting you back $55, the price might be slightly indicative of how much material’s been used to make the jeans, and the fact they’re missing a sizeable chunk of fabric around the bum area.

“Flaunt some skin with these seriously on point skinny jeans,” the description reads.

“Featuring a black denim fabric with a flattering high waisted fit and distressed bum detail, style with your everyday pieces or dress them up for hitting the town with your besties.”

Confused fashionistas and grossed-out germaphobes took to Twitter over the controversial look.
