Cadbury announces bizarre new chip chocolate

It’s the age-old debate when you’re gearing up for a movie marathon – what do you feel like? Sweet or Savoury?

But a solution seems to be at hand. No longer will you need to decide between ripping open a bag of chips, or chowing down on a chocolate block. Unless you just did both things together anyway then, well, carry on.

Now Cadbury has released a new franken-food creation after teaming up with Kettle’s potato chips and CC’s corn chips.

These new chocolate blocks give a whole new meaning to the term chocolate chip.

Touted as a treat ready for the upcoming footy finals, the two new limited-edition versions are made from Cadbury’s normal dairy milk chocolate, filled with crunchy pieces of either Kettle Sea Salt chips or CC’s corn chips.

While salty and sweet often end up a match made in heaven, opinions remain divided as to whether this offering will be one for the ages.

Others however couldn’t wait to try the new chocolate.

The 190g blocks are $4.99 and available at Coles, Woolworths and independent retailers from Wednesday, August 15. The 64g bars are $3.20 from petrol stations and convenience stores.
