Can you spot what's different about this hotel?

A house built from chocolate sounds like something you’d find in the pages of a fairy tale but you can actually spend the night at an edible cottage this October.

Dreamt up by artisan chocolatier Jean-Luc Decluzeau and his son, the 18-square-metre house is made from 1.5 tonnes of chocolate (drool) and is located in Musee de Sevres on the outskirts of Paris.

The chalet took a grand total of 600 hours to make and features everything from a fireplace to a white chocolate duck pond.

The only household items not crafted from the delicious stuff are the beds, floors and outdoor table but let’s be honest, that’s totally understandable.

After checking in, guests will be invited to participate in a workshop led by Jean-Luc himself where they will learn how to make miniature chocolate homes.

Lucky visitors will also be treated to breakfast and dinner in the cottage’s flower garden.

But that’s if you have room left for dessert, as guests can treat themselves to the erm, house as the cottage’s books, chandeliers and candles are all edible.

For those already hungry to make a booking clear your diaries, as there’s only two nights up for offer (if there’s any chocolate left untouched that is).

The chalet costs $50 a night and is available on the 5th and 6th of October 2018, for up to four guests.

Just don’t forget to pack a spoon!
