Can you spot the 1.8m snake in this snap?

Living in Australia, we’re used to all manner of creepy crawlies living around our home.

But a 1.8 metre snake playing hide-and-seek in your garage? Well, that’s just a little bit terrifying.

Sunshine Coast Snake Catcher’s Lockie Gilding has pretty much realised our greatest fears by sharing a snap to social media after being called out to find a carpet python running riot in a Buderim garage.

'Alright guys it's about time we played another game of spot the snake! This particular animal was relocated from a home in Buderim' Lockie captioned this photo. Photo: Facebook

With the snap showing a multitude of hidey-holes for the snake to set up shop, Lockie reveals the homeowner had originally sighted the snake outside the garage door, had gone to get a friend, and when he came back it was gone.

"It was a couple of days later [when I was called] - the snake had been in there hanging out for a couple of days and during the night had been knocking things of the shelves," Lockie told the Sunshine Coast Daily.

"I just picked him up, bagged him up, and took him to nearby bushland and released him into the bush.

"He went on his way."
