Chrissy Teigen's epic reaction wins the Emmys opening monologue

It was only less than 10 minutes into the Emmys this year when the internet absolutely lost it, and it’s all thanks to meme queen, Chrissy Teigen.

The 32-year-old wife of musician John Legend had the ultimate reaction to Michael Che and Colin Jost’s opening monologue, and her facial expression was conveniently captured on camera for our viewing pleasure.

I’m just here for @chrissyteigen reaction shots,” one viewer wrote on Twitter. This opening monologue is ballsy, funny and @chrissyteigen,” penned another.

SNL stars Michael and Colin took to the stage at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles with quite the opening monologue.

From their jokes about Netflix leaving TV execs worried to roasting Roseanne Barr and speaking about diversity in the industry, their speech was one that left viewers divided.

“You know how great an actress you’d have to be to get nominated for Roseanne now. That’s like nominating a cop for a BET award. It doesn’t happen,” said Michael.

At that point the camera panned to Chrissy, and she leaned back in her chair with an awkward look on her face. The best.

In terms of other jokes cracked during the opening monologue here’s a few.

“How is Netflix getting all that money?” they said.

“It’s $9 a month and everyone I know shares an account. Netflix is like that Instagram model that’s always in Dubai and you’re like, yeah — but what do you REALLY do?”

When it came to diversity, they had another joke up their sleeves.

TV has always had a diversity problem. They did 15 seasons of ER without ONE Filipino nurse? Have you BEEN to a hospital?”

Meanwhile how about this one:

“Our network, NBC, has the most nominations of any broadcast network — which is kind of like being the sexiest person on life support. It’s not good.”

Ummm, ok.
